Ladies of Literature: Cassie.

"If you want to picture Cassie, think of a short, cute girl with very short black hair, wearing overalls and big muddy boots and looking totally capable of giving a tetanus shot to an angry bear"

So I was asked to be a part of the "Ladies of Literature" zine/charity project and just couldn't miss an opportunity to draw a character near and dear to my heart from my favorite book series growing up- Cassie from Animorphs. As an animal loving pre-teen she was pretty much everything I ever wanted to be.

Society of Illustrators Student Exhibition.

So this is very delayed, but here's a quick update with some news! Back in March I announced that I was selected to be Society of Illustrators student exhibition, and in May I attended the exhibition opening! It was an awesome night- I am so honored to have been able to show my work with so many skilled illustrators!

Did a new self portrait since I just got a haircut! For fun I took it and gave it a little Sailor Moon inspired editing. Figured it was a good opportunity to teach myself new things to do with gifs!

Society of Illustrators Student Competition.

I am incredibly pleased to announce that my "London 2012 Olympics Aquatics Poster" has been selected to be in the Society of Illustrators student exhibition! I am very honored to be featured alongside so many talented friends and colleagues!
